5:20

Hey there, fellow parents! Are you tired of the constant struggle to find snacks that are both delicious and nutritious for your little ones? Well, fear not, because we've got the solution for you: homemade fruit snacks!

In today's world, it's all too easy to fall into the trap of feeding our kids overly processed treats packed with high fructose corn syrup and artificial ingredients. But as parents, it's up to us to make better choices for our children's health and well-being.  One significant step we can take is to provide them with nutritious snacks that support their metabolic health.

So why not take matters into your own hands and whip up some homemade fruit snacks that are not only free from all the junk but also super easy to make? Trust us, it's a win-win situation for everyone involved.RenderedImage

By using our clean recipe, you can ensure that your kids are getting all the goodness of real fruit without any added sugars or preservatives that can wreak havoc on their metabolic health. Plus, making these snacks at home means you have full control over what goes into them, giving you peace of mind about what your little ones are munching on.

Now, you might be thinking, "But I'm not a culinary genius! How am I supposed to make homemade fruit snacks?"  Well, let us assure you that it's simpler than you think. With just a few basic ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create delicious, wholesome snacks that your kids will love.

So here's our foolproof recipe for homemade fruit snacks:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of your favorite fruit low-sugar berries (think strawberries, blackberries, or blueberries)
  • 2 Tablespoons of water
  • 2 Tablespoons of Unflavored Beef Gelatin Powder (NOT jello)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Liquid Stevia
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Strawberry Extract (optional) or whatever flavored extract you are using.  Extracts do not usually have sugar in them, so this is a win.

Instructions:

  1.  Place the chopped berries into a blender and pulse until smooth.  We love our VitaMix if you are looking for a great blenderNutribullet Ultra Personal Blender is also a nice choice.

  2.  Pour juice through a nut milk bag or any fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
  3. Place the seedless juice into a small saucepan.  Add 2 TBSP of water and Unflavored Beef Gelatine Powder and stir until combined.
  4. Place the saucepan on low heat, and stir until the Unflavored Beef Gelatin is well dissolved.
  5. When all is dissolved, remove from heat and add your flavored extract,
(the Strawberry Extract is our favorite), and the Liquid Stevia (French Vanilla is always good). Stir quickly to combine.
  6. Pour mixture into silicone gummy molds. You can purchase these from this link. Silicone Molds Gummy Bears, Hearts, and Dinosaurs.

Chill until firm, remove, and enjoy a guilt-free snack for your kids and yourself. Only one Total Carb each.  You can't eat them all, but you can have a treat. So much better than a bag of High Fructose Corn Syrup for you kids.

Remember, as parents, we have the power to lead by example and instill healthy eating habits in our children from a young age. They are watching every move you make.  So let's ditch the processed treats and opt for wholesome snacks that will nourish our kids' bodies and minds.  They need it as much as we do.

Join us in saying no to high fructose corn syrup and yes to homemade goodness! Your kids – and their taste buds – will thank you for it.

With a little effort, you will have a direct effect on the development of your children's brains.  Which will, in turn, have a direct effect on their future coping skills, learning abilities, relationships, and work ethics.
