One Day or DAY ONE? You Choose
A Beautiful, Cold, and Snowy Day
Today is a beautiful, cold, and snowy day. If you know me, you know I’ve never been a “winter person,” but I can’t deny the beauty of fresh-fallen snow. Days like this remind me to slow down, embrace the stillness, and reflect on my blessings. As I start my morning, I ask myself: What does God have in store for me today? What can I accomplish today? How can I keep moving in the right direction for both my health and my life? How can I make the most of this day in alignment with His plan?
A Day to Recharge and Reflect
Today, I have the rare blessing of an open schedule—no back-to-back calls, no Zoom meetings, and no need to step out into the cold. Instead, I get to sit here, sip on a warm cup of tea, enjoy the warmth of a fire, light some candles, listen to worship music, and immerse myself in Bible study. It’s a day to recharge my soul and simply be.
I have to laugh at myself because my Christmas trees are still up—don’t judge me, lol, I’m still enjoying them! This year, I went for simplicity: multiple trees, soft white lights, a wintery wonderland, and no decorations on them. Just simple and bare. And you know what? I love it. Keeping them up a little longer has added a cozy, peaceful glow to my home during this cold season. My indoor winter wonderland makes the cold a little easier to enjoy through these long Ohio winters.
I don’t get many quiet, unhurried days, so I’m savoring every moment of it. The hustle and bustle of the weekend will begin soon. So I am going to take this in and enjoy the moment. What do you like to do when you have quiet time? I love to write, journal, and just listen to some music that feeds my soul. Today it is “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake. Check out his video below ⬇️. We’ve had the honor of seeing him a few times, and he is always amazing. I hope this one blesses you as it is me right now.
Making Daily Choices for Health and Joy
Every day, I make a conscious choice for my health journey. Today, I choose calm, gratitude, and blessings.
What about you? When was the last time you truly enjoyed your home and made it a place of peace? So many of us put off the things that matter most, thinking:
- One day I’ll work on my health.
- One day I’ll prioritize myself.
- One day I’ll slow down and appreciate what I have.
- One day I’ll start that project I’ve been thinking about.
But as someone who has faced death more times than one person should, I want to remind you:
You can keep saying one day, or you can take control and say, Today is Day ONE.
What will you do today for you?
My Health Stats for Today:
- Blood Glucose (BG): 83
- Blood Ketones (BK): 3.5
- Dr. Boz Ratio (DBR): 23
I am beyond grateful to see another DBR below 25—this is huge! I feel amazing. My mind is clear, my anxiety is gone, my body is at peace, I’m sleeping well, and I’m continuously blown away by how much this chemistry shift has transformed my health. The aches, pains, brain fog, and exhaustion that once weighed me down? Gone. This will make 3 weeks of a steady, low DBR. This is rebuilding health. THIS is why I work so hard to do this. I am blessed beyond measure to have learned this process. Forever grateful for Dr. Boz and this health journey with all of you.
If you’re ready to make today your Day One, I’d love to help you. I know what it feels like to be lost after disease, wondering how to move forward. But I also know what it takes to rebuild health—and you can do it too.
