Happy Friday, Tribe!
This week has flown by, and we’re working hard to prepare for the 21-Day Metabolic Kickstart (21DMK) starting Monday. From setting up calendars to planning meals, I feel much more peaceful when I have a clear plan in place. Whether it’s for my home or my health journey, a plan helps me stay on track.
But I want to be real with you—my numbers are still not good. Here’s where I am today:
- Blood Glucose (BG): 120 (far too high!)
- Blood Ketones (BK): 0.6
- Dr. Boz Ratio (DBR): 200 (still not in healing mode)
While I’ve been eating on plan, life’s emotional stresses are impacting my numbers. Watching my parents transition into a new chapter of life is both beautiful and heart-wrenching. My dad’s unwavering devotion to my mom, as he learns to care for her while navigating her dementia and health struggles, is an incredible example of love. But seeing his pain hurts deeply, and it keeps me up at night.
I know I can’t control everything, but I can control how I respond to life’s challenges. This includes making a better effort to get to bed earlier and close my eating window by 2 PM. These little habits, though they may seem insignificant, have a huge impact on my health.
My Menu Today:
- Pork Belly
- Heavy Cream in Cold Brew Coffee
- 1 Pucker Up sipped throughout the day
I’m reminded that this journey is about learning how to adapt, deal with life’s punches, and still stay focused on our health. Two more days of preparation, and on Monday, it’s GAME ON! I’m ready to make my health a priority and focus on getting back into healing mode.
You Don’t Have To Do This Alone
Being in this tribe of like-minded people really does help us all stay connected and support each other. If you are struggling alone. Please connect with our free group “Healthy Families Begin at Home”. You will find a daily accountability check in and a treasure of people willing to help support you through the rough times. Remember this, there is always someone a few steps ahead of you that you can learn from, AND, there is always someone a few steps behind YOU, looking for direction. Reach your hand back and welcome them along. This is the purpose of our tribe and family.
Questions for You:
- How do you plan ahead for success?
- Are you a paper planner or electronic?
- Do you use Cronometer before you eat?
Remember, you’re not alone in this journey. We’re all learning, growing, and navigating life’s challenges together. Let’s take it one step at a time and make progress, no matter how small.
With love and encouragement,
Tammie 💕

Thinking of you today. Much love and prayers to all of you! You selflessly put your all into helping others even when life is punching you in the gut. Your strength and determination are amazing! God will see you through just like He always has. I know He will help you get where you want to be health wise as well.
To answer your questions, I do have to plan ahead on my work days. If I don’t fix something to eat the night before, then I usually won’t eat at work. I am not much of a morning person anymore. For me to get up and have something cooked and out the door by 8:15 is just not going to happen lol…
I do both paper and electronic.
I have also learned to put my meals in cronometer before hand and then I can make adjustments if needed. It can be eye opening when you put something in that you didn’t know had so many carbs. There have been numerous times as well that I thought I was getting plenty of protein and learned differently after putting it in the app. It’s an invaluable tool.
Hang in there Sister, you got this!
Thank you for your kind words. Life is a journey and we will get through this one day at a time. God is good!
I also love learning those lessons from tracking in Cronometer. Definitely eye opening when you see how much sugar EVERYTHING has in it. lol.
Planning ahead makes everything easier. I don’t function well on the fly. lol. ❤️🙏 Coach Tammie
